2008 UPCOMING BARUC TRAIL RIDES
Carrie and Andy Guerrero have been out scouting around for good trail rides for
BARUC members to go on this year and they have come up with quite a few.  If
you have questions about any of the rides, call Carrie Guerrero at 697-1436 or
carrieguerrero@valornet.com  Most rides will check your Coggins papers so you’ll
need to always have the yellow copy of your Coggins available.  Sometimes we
"caravan" from the arena and other times we just drive on our own and meet at the
site.  Your horse will need shoes for most rides.

June 12-13, 2009 – BARUC Ladies Trail Ride – A to Z Guest Ranch
If you like to trail ride and would enjoy a little girl time, have we got the
weekend for you!  Two nights stay in a luxury cabin, 2 nights boarding for your
horse in an outside corral, 2 breakfasts, and 2 dinners all included in one very
reasonable price. The location is the A to Z guest ranch in Talahina Oklahoma, in
the Kiamichi mountains. The cabin is called the Moose Lodge and sleeps up to
17people. However, there are only 10 beds (2 queen, 4 full, and 4 twin). So if you
are bringing a girl friend and do not mind sharing a bed, please say so when you
RSVP so we can make room for as many people as possible.  If you are interested
in attending this weekend ride, please get your RSVP in to Carrie Guerrero or
Amelie Stiles by February 2nd, 2009.
If you don't have a horse, you can rent one
there.

Trail Ride Dates are June 12th, 13th, returning home after breakfast and one
last ride the morning of June 14th. Your 50%, non-refundable deposit will need to
be made out to the Broken Arrow Round-Up Club, and be in by February 27,
2009. Please send your deposit to Amelie Stiles. This will be a rain or shine trip so
please plan accordingly when packing (In other words, don't forget your rain gear!).
Shoes will be required for your horses as the trail can be a bit rocky in some areas.
Be prepared for beautiful scenery, water crossings, some climbing, and a whole
lotta fun.  Of course each lady is responsible for her own horse's feed, her own
